Can you do electrolysis after laser hair removal?

We often receive questions from people who have undergone laser hair removal about whether they can now undergo electrolysis. In short, yes, you can, but there are a few important nuances to consider.

The course of electrolysis after laser hair removal will be significantly longer. This is because, after some time (from six months to several years), the hair removed by laser can start to grow back. In this case, to permanently remove the hair, you will need to return to electrolysis.

It is important to emphasize that, unlike laser, electrolysis does not require repeating the course every six months or a year. However, to permanently remove the hair, it is necessary to choose the right time to start the procedures after the laser treatment. This moment is very individual, and it is best to consult our electrolysis specialist, who will assess the condition of your skin and provide personal recommendations.

As for general information, we recommend waiting as long as possible after the laser treatment – ideally about six months. This time is needed for the skin to recover and for the hair to reappear, which can then be removed with electrolysis. Of course, you can start the procedures earlier, for example, after a month, but in this case, additional sessions may be required, as the hair may continue to grow back.

It is not recommended to use both methods simultaneously or to perform electrolysis immediately after the laser treatment. After laser treatment, the hair may become fragile, and its removal may take more time and effort.
